Simplify

Been thinking about making and selling slings... Sounds like a great plan. I've already sold two to ladies who approached me in Walmart. Then I got all excited and started planning a website, and spoke with a friend who is opening a shop and wants to sell my slings--but whoa! This goes completely against my life's mantra Simplify-Simplify-Simplify! I have to rethink things.

P.S. I did some portraits for a friend and Betsy asked me to post some. I don't have time to post more than these few :) Maybe I'll make more time soon.

Bunny Hills and Babies

Here are some pictures from my trip to see my sister Kari. We had an adventure skiing and I had so much fun spending time with her family. I'm so glad I went! :)

Luke and Elise were buddies. It's so fun that they are in exactly the same stage and into the same stuff. They are so much fun.

Addicted to Pictures

It has come to my attention that since getting my new camera the end of August I have taken 5,647 pictures (and counting). It really is an addiction! I just can't help taking pictures of my kids. They are great to oblige me. It helps a lot that they get to look at the pictures right away. Hmmm....5,647 pictures-I wonder how many that is per day. Maybe I need to check myself into rehab.

Maybe if my subjects weren't so darn cute and photogenic it would be easier to quit!

Are these better Jolin?

My friend Jolin gave me a couple suggestions about my focus and on getting really "glassy" eye shots and I think these turned out really good. They may be a little washed out still-I can maybe darken them a little bit when I have some time. Thanks for the tips Jolin!

Elise Madelyn Turns One!

This picture makes me laugh! It is Elise trying to open her package from Grandma Jolynn. She lifted it off the ground while trying to pull the tape off. The look on her face is priceless!

She couldn't stuff it in fast enough:)

Lauryn made Elise's cake and cupcakes for all of us. She even used her new cake decorator to decorate them. She also made Elise this birthday crown. It was really sweet. Its amazing how much work it saves me to have a daughter who loves to cook!

Elise's One Year Photo Shoot :)

Elise with Lambie. :)

I love my new lens. I copied off my sisters and got a new Canon 50 mm 1.8. I love how it uses the natural light. I'm still getting used to the short depth of field and the focus though.

Christmas

This is a shot of the kids on Christmas morning getting ready to burst out and see what Santa brought for them. It was a really magical Christmas. I think the kids are at the perfect ages to make everything so much fun. It was a great celebration.

I'm almost ready to resurface!

Okay-those of you who thought I would never return-I'm back! No pictures yet but I am definitely feeling the blog bug coming on, and I'm getting the finishing touches on Elise's book. I can NOT tell you how much I Looooooove digital scrapbooking. It beats the pants off the old fashioned way (IMHO) because you can actually get DONE!!!! Anyway, I will post some pictures really soon!
