Five Month Old Elise

I admit, I've been slacking! These pictures are from way back in June at Carter's Birthday Party but I wanted to put them up anyway. What a funny baby! She's such a sweet little mellow thing. Just rolls with the punches and goes along for the ride. Lauryn insisted that all the girls wear a flower in their hair and I completely forgot about mine and wore it all through dinner at the restaurant! :)

Carter's 4th Birthday Party

This year we went to T-Rex for Carter's 4th Birthday party. We had never been there but it was fun even though our first choice had been Chuck-E-Cheese. (when we arrived at where chuckie's had been last fall, we were all shocked that it was GONE! and we have no idea where it moved to.)
I can't believe how little Carter looks here! He acts so big and thinks he's just about as grown up as he can be but when you actually get perspective on him he looks so itty-bitty!

We inveted some friends to come and join us at the restaurant.

Happy Birthday Carter-Bear!

Our New School Year

We are starting our fourth year homeschooling. I'm excited and nervous. I can't wait to watch my kids learn and start exploring their subjects with them, but I'm a little nervous to see how it goes with schooling two kids, their outside activities, my outside activities, spending time with Carter and Elise, and then squeezing taking care of the house in there somewhere. I just don't know if there are enough hours in the day. We have organized a new homeschool group and I think its going to make things a little easier and fun socially for the kids.
Oh, and we have a brand new crest which I designed and Jeff computer-graphicked into life. The kids each picked a heraldry symbol and we went from there. Carter is the Fragon-uh, I mean Dragon:), Grant is the Eagle, Lauryn is the laurel crown and Elise is the Rose. The saying "Wisdom begins in wonder" is from Socrates and I think it describes my education philosophy pretty well. I loved it. The compass symbolizes Jeff and I "trying" to give some direction. I think it turned out marvelously! :)

This picture again...?

I wanted this picture for my profile and I couldn't figure out a way except to post it again, so here it is! Hi everyone! Kari and Bets- if you look at this would you Puh-leese make me a photo CD and send it? That would be super awesome! I am dying to see all the photos from our reunion, and start making my ABC book! Love you guys :)

Daddy's Little Girl

There is possibly nothing sweeter than seeing the man you love being a good daddy to your children. (Okay, there's a peek at my sappy side) But it's really true. I am so thankful that Jeff is such a good dad and my kids absolutely adore him.

Elise 6 months old

Elise turned 5 months in the end of June and I can't believe how kissable and sweet she is. She is getting chubbier and is just so content to hang out with me. I finally had Jeff take some pictures with the two of us and I'm happy that I've lost my double chin. :) Elise still has hers though and its much cuter on her!

Playing Piano with Janice

Janice Kapp Perry and her husband (who's name I've forgotten) came to give a fireside at our Stake Center. We were very excited because they stayed with us. We had a great time, Janice even came to the YMCA with me to work out. They were very interesting people to talk to and we had a great time with them. Janice even played a duet with Lauryn on the piano.
